GPPAC works to promote conflict prevention and peacebuilding at both a conceptual and practical level. As such, the UN International Day of Peace - which falls on 21 September and calls for a 24-hour global ceasefire - represents an excellent opportunity to promote our agenda. Tanja_PopovicTanja Popovic studied English language and literature and worked as a teacher in the primary school in Kosovo for 6 years. In 1999 she participated in RTC ‘working with conflict course’ 2001, assisting Paul Clifford in facilitating the Centre for Conflict management summer school in Kazahkstan. In 2002, she was a visiting tutor at a 10-week RTC ‘Working with conflict course,’ and in 2003 and 2004 she worked with the group from the Balkans at Nansenskolen, Norway. In Serbia and in the Balkans she facilitates trainings for students, teachers young politicians, members of trade unions, senior politicians, mostly in South Serbia, Montenegro and Kosovo.
